Mt. Baker Chapter #5376,

Bellingham, WA
Harley Owners Group

The Mt. Baker Harley Owners Group was formed in 1991 under the name of Whatcom County WA Chapter and several of our original charter members are still current members. As of June 2, 2004 our chapter name was officially changed to Mt. Baker Chapter, Bellingham, WA. We have been able to give scholarships to local high school students, and we were honored to be able to escort one of our veterans home after serving in Iraq We have done and accomplished much since our group was formed.

Our membership consists of a wide variety of people. We are married, single or somewhere in between. We are business owners, educators, artists, students, military, bankers, mail carriers, truck drivers, or retired. We are young enough to know how to have fun and old enough know how to do it well. Some of us enjoy riding in a group, some don't. Some of us will ride in any weather and some would rather wait for a sunny day. Some of us are old school and some are into all the new toys to be had. Some of us ride our own bikes and some enjoy riding on the back. We are just like anyone else with one exception. We know something those other unfortunate people will never know. We don't just own, we love our Harleys.

We try to offer many different types of rides and activities so we can fill the needs of all of our members, both novice and experienced riders. Whatcom County has some of the best roads to ride of anywhere else in the country. We have Thursday night dinner rides, planned rides on the weekends, informal lunch rides on Saturday, and 1-2-3 day rides for those wishing to explore the countryside a little farther away from home. We hold an annual Blessing of the Bikes at the beginning of the riding season open to all riders. We have our own unique Iron Butt Charity Ride that benefits our annual scholarship fund which awards a $1,000.00 scholarship to a local graduating high school senior.  We sponsor a toy run to benefit the City of Blaine's Christmas Giving Tree program. If you want to know more about all the things you can do with us check out the Rides & Events page on our website.

Ladies of Harley is a group of women within Mt. Baker HOG who support women riders whether they ride their own or ride on the back.  The group raises money throughout the year for charities, supports community activities, and organize social events for our membership. The Ladies give a mock baby shower for themselves each November and donate the gifts to the GRADS program in Bellingham, a program that allows teen moms to complete their high school education while providing daycare for their babies.

We are a Harley family and we encourage you to join us in the adventure.
