Adopt A Road

The Adopt a Road program.  We care for Park Road between highway 9 and the road that goes around the lake.  Twice a year our members put on rubber gloves and walk the road picking up other peoples' trash.  We usually fill a pickup bed with our finds.

Ladies of Harley/ Grads Baby Shower:

History:
The baby shower was started in 1995 by Carol Thompson who worked for the Bellingham School District in food services and saw a need for the young mothers and their babies in the GRADS Teen Parent Program.  She organized the first baby shower for the gifts to be delivered to GRADS and distributed to the girls right before Christmas break.  The Ladies have continued to support this project helping GRADS through the baby shower, personal emergency needs, emergency classroom supplies and food, and their baby scrapbooks throughout the school year.

Toys for Tots

The Toys4Tots program.  Members contribute toys, volunteer in the distribution center and participate in the Toys4Tots Challenge with motorcycle groups from throughout the county riding to the distribution center with toys to contribute.  Our group won the award for donating the most toys last year.

Toy Run:

The Toy Run began the year the chapter was formed.  The members ride from the shop to the Stafholt Center in Blaine, delivering toys, and a cash donation from the chapter to benefit the Blaine Giving Tree.  Typically a member dresses as Santa and leads the ride through downtown Bellingham and the county.

Members have a chance to meet the residents at Stafholt Center and several members bring their bikes into the patio area for residents to get up close to and admire.  The Toy Run provides toys for children in need at Christmas and conversation for the residents.
