Safety
We at Mt Baker H.O.G are very committed to "Riding Safe and Riding to Have Fun". Safety has been, and continues to be, an important part of Chapter rides. Whether you ride alone, with friends, or in a group of fellow Chapter members, safe riding is something that you should practice every time you ride. At the Mt Baker H.O.G. Chapter, we can help by providing safe riding tips and information on rider education (see links listed below).
If you are a beginner and still learning to negotiate turns and the concepts of straight line braking and braking in a turn along with maintaining balance while riding slow, group riding is not a good place to learn to ride. Let an Officer know if you are uncomfortable with group riding, and they will be happy to take time for some "one on one" rides or take advantage of one our "New Member Group Rides".
You are responsible for your own safety. In other words, you should always "Ride Your Own Ride". We are all responsible for the safety of the group. From the Director through the Officers to all the members, riding safely means that we can all have more fun. And that's what it is really about, riding and having fun.
